Sky’s the Limit: Discovery Flights at Brandywine Aviation

Venue: Brandywine Aviation - 1209 Ward Avenue West Chester, PA
Attendees: EO Philadelphia Members, EOA Participants, SAPs, and families. Children 5 and older are welcome to participate, however, they must be able to climb into the aircraft unassisted.
Overview: Take your seat in the cockpit for the perfect little adventure! Learn about flight instruments and controls, navigate the local airspace, snap a few Instagram-worthy photos, and - most importantly - fly the airplane!
EO’ers (and guests) will have the opportunity to climb aboard for short Discovery Flights over the West Chester area. Next, test your skills on the ground in the flight simulator where we will also have the opportunity for Q&A with a panel of experts in differing facets of the aviation world; pilots, fleet management, and Angel Flights East, a non-profit organization providing free flights to children and adults in need of medical treatment far from home.
Important note: we are thrilled at the interest level of this event and seeking to add additional planes/pilots. At this time, however, we are limited in the number of total flights which impacts the number of people who will have the opportunity to sit behind the controls! Others will have the chance to be a passenger, but not all participants will be able to sit in the cockpit, unfortunately.
Beer, wine, soft drinks, and heavy hors d'oeuvres will be provided.
Close-toed shoes are required for anyone wanting to sit up front in the pilot’s seats.
Each participant flying will be required to sign a waiver.

About Angel Flight East:
(AFE) provides free flights for children and adults in need of medical treatment far from home. Volunteer pilots use their own airplanes and cover all costs of the flight. AFE covers a 14 state footprint from Virginia to Ohio to Maine and for destinations outside that territory, we partner with other volunteer pilot organizations.
