Learning Day Overview:
Become a Magnet for A-players Who Are Dedicated to Results!
Growth companies’ most difficult decisions involve getting the right people in the right seats. Is everyone in your company aligned, pulling their weight, and contributing as they should?
Each quarterly program is led by a trained facilitator who has been a first-stage entrepreneur. Our facilitator, Bashir Rahemtulla brings a wealth of experience and connections to help participants navigate through the content and glean as much as possible from the learning that is presented. He will answer questions from personal experience, helping you deal with the issues you face in your company with thoughtful and practical insights.
EO Philadelphia’s PEOPLE Day will be a full-day workshop consisting of many components including small group interactions, facilitator-led discussions, and an experience-share panel of EO members themselves.
We look forward to seeing all of our EO Accelerator Participants and EO Members at this upcoming Learning Day.
Meet our Guest Speaker - Brenda Viola
A former news anchor and reporter, Brenda Viola is also an award-winning communicator and author. However, she chuckles that clients are most curious about her brief career as a QVC Show Host!
In 2018 she created ME (Municipal Education) Seminars to address challenges faced by public servants. Her decade as Public Information Officer for a Philadelphia suburb informed her well-received keynotes and workshops. The American Library Association (ALA), American Public Works Association (APWA), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA), International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) and many other organizations engage Brenda Viola to inform and inspire their audiences.
This niche market grew organically with the 2020 publication of her book, The Public Servants’ Survival Guide. Audiences from both the public and private sectors resonated with the message that answered the question, “How can you reclaim joy in work and life?” The ten points outlined in the book provide the framework for a transformative workshop helping participants recognize signs of burnout and course correct. A Certified Virtual Speaker, Brenda Viola connects effectively via camera or in-person.
Corporate culture is a passion, and Brenda has built regional and nationally recognized workplaces. Helping companies define their core values, guiding leaders to infuse their teams with appreciation, and creating environments where people love to work are her specialties. A favorite quote is by Theodore Roosevelt: “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” In Brenda’s view, authentic care can turn employees into enthusiastic brand ambassadors.
Encouragement is at the heart of Brenda’s messages, which are backed by extensive research and filled with humor and candor. Her personal stories of love, loss, and lessons learned open the door for her audiences to bravely reflect on their own lives. She sees breakdowns as gateways to breakthroughs, and she finds fulfillment serving as a catalyst for decisions that yield lasting, positive impacts.
A Philadelphia-area native, she resides in La Jolla, California, enjoying daily walks on the beach and relishing down-time to enjoy a good book or sing karaoke (badly) at the local Moose Lodge. She is a member of the National Speakers Association (NSA) and is involved with Rotary International and Toastmasters.
